Program Description

The Workreadiness Program aims to assist individuals with disabilities to find, secure and retain employment. This program is for anyone who is starting their first job or career, re-entering the workforce, training in a new career, or wanting to upgrade skills in a current career. The program offers:  

  • Career Decision Making  
  • Employment Counselling  
  • Paid education/training programs leading to certification or to upgrade current skills (up to 3 months)  
  • Job Matching  
  • 12-week paid work experience  
  • Job Monitoring and Retention Support  
  • Disability Related Supports  
  • Work related attire  
  • Transportation assistance

Program Eligibility
  • 15 years of age and older  
  • Not in receipt of Employment Insurance  
  • Unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week  
  • Not in full-time education or training  
  • Legally able to work in Canada  
  • Must have a self-disclosed disability
